We are searching for an exceptional Freelance Back End Developer to join our team within our Interactive Marketing Practice of G2 USA in our New York office. You must be able to work onsite in our New York office. (No consulting firms please!)

The Software Engineer (Back End Developer) is responsible for the development of high-quality, high-traffic enterprise web applications, encompassing the design, implementation, and maintenance of application code and database components, as well as all related activities within a web application development process. 

 

Specific knowledge and skills include but are not limited to the following:

• 5+ years experience designing and developing enterprise level web-based applications using .NET and potentially Java/related technologies (.NET/C#, Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB, JSTL). Although MUST have .NET. 
• Strong understanding of relational database design and development with specific experience using and developing with SQL Server/Oracle.
• Strong understanding of design patterns and ability to solve complex technical design challenges.
• Strong understanding of best practices, development methodologies, processes, version control & release management.
• Experience with O/R mapping (Hibernate/NHibernate), development frameworks (MVC, Struts, Spring, Tiles) and tools (JUnit/NUnit, Ant/NAnt).
• Experience with one or more content management systems
• Experience with XML, Web Services, SOAP and related standards and technologies.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes, unit testing and automated testing suites.
• Prior experience in a consulting environment, client services and/or interactive marketing is a plus.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required.
