Job Description

The Technical Product Manager will oversee product definition and execution throughout the product life cycle. Analyze existing and new technologies as well as market developments and competition, and develop product technical specifications and requirements according to needs. Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, and work closely with engineering to oversee and approve product designs, enhancements, and quality. Manage relationships with technology and delivery partners. Track market trends and competitive offerings, interface with customers and sales organization to drive product direction and ensure capabilities meet market needs and customer satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Work with customers and internal resources to drive requirements definition.  Write technical and product requirement documents, product specifications, and product descriptions. 

·        Participate in the development of training for various support groups. 

·        Identify areas for improvement; initiate and implement measurable changes. 

·        Develop business case for product feasibility studies. 

·        Remain aware of technology, competitor trends and key legal/regulatory specifications related to assigned product areas. 





Skills/Requirements

·        Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 

·        Strong communication skills and ability to work with various groups including customers, sales, engineering, and marketing. 

·        Project Management experience

·        Solid understanding of agile development processes and methodology, quality issues,and project management methodologies and tools. 

·        Experience with delivery of technical products to market. 

·        3-5years software industry and 1-2 years Product Management experience preferred.

·        Results orientation, customer focus, technical and organizational skills, excellent communication skills

                The following additional experience is considered a strong plus:

·                 Knowledge:Product design methods (conjoint, Kanban, usability testing)

·                             Skills/Abilities:Wireframe design, statistics and data analysis

·                 Experience:Ideally, candidate will have spent time working closely both with customers and with engineering teams
