Interview business users and technical SMEs at all levels to understand Business Intelligence Solution needs and objectives. Interface with multi-disciplinary teams within Merkle to support the solution delivery process. Synthesize information into concise, readable, unambiguous written requirements. Take primary ownership for written requirements specifications, from initial creation, through change management, and solution delivery. Develop functional and technical documentation. Take primary ownership for Business Intelligence client acceptance specifications, from initial creation, through change management, and acceptance execution. Work with client Program Management regarding schedule, scope, and cost tradeoffs. Field detailed and complex questions from the multi-disciplinary team regarding data-level requirements, and research and resolve these issues with the Merkle team and with the client. Work with the project core business team to develop functional specifications. Liaison with Application Engineers regarding the development of data stores. Create and validate report specifications. Create reports using Cognos 8.3 on top of SQL Server 2005. Implement Cognos reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc query capabilities. Participate in user acceptance testing. Document reports using BI methodology.
