Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Serve as internal consultant to Corporate management team, supervisors and employees on personnel issues that affect performance and business relationships.

·         Coordinate the recruiting, candidate screening and selection processes to proactively meet internal customers hiring requirements.

·         Provide guidance and respond to employee and supervisor questions regarding benefits, compensation and salary administration.

·         Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

·         Provide guidance to supervisors and employees regarding policy and HR program administration and interpretation.

·         Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

·         Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.

·         Understands legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

·         Train management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, compensation, performance, and sexual harassment.

·         Assist supervisors/department heads in preparation of performance and salary reviews.

·         Assist supervisors/department heads in terminations and disciplinary hearings as needed.

·         Lead the investigation, follow-up and preparation of EEO charges, Hotline calls, unemployment claims, and other employee complaints.

·         Perform other work duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

Required Skills or Tools:

·         Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

·         Strong communication skills; written and oral.

·         Ability to organize and prioritize work, managing several projects simultaneously.

·         Ability to interface effectively with employees, levels of management, as well as vendors and service providers.

·         Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in interpreting and applying policies to problems.

·         Strong user of Microsoft suite of office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

 

Preferred Education/Experience:

·         B.S. degree in Human Resources or business related field required.

·         Four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Physical Strain:

·         Must be able to work under pressure

·         Must be able to work effectively in a team environment

·         Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
