Company: Groundwater & Environmental Services Job ID#: 85543 # of Positions: 1 Job Type: Full Time Location: Maryland - Crofton Department: Engineering Category: Project Engineer (P4) Salary: Salary Benefits: Full Benefits Apply To This Job Refer This Job Return To List Job Description Our Crofton, MD office seeks an experienced Engineer with an environmental consulting background to join their team.   Duties and Responsibilities include: Serves as the senior remediation and technical leader for remediation projects for retail petroleum sites (with and without terminals), pipelines, and other commercial/industrial sites Handles challenging remediation projects, including in situ chemical injection projects Directs remedial feasibility scope development and execution Evaluates sites and determines appropriate remedial alternatives Participates in management of operation and maintenance of remedial systems, including system evaluations and upgrades, more advanced troubleshooting and ensuring permit compliance Prepares, manages, and reviews remediation system designs, reports, permits, specifications, work scopes and proposals Manages, trains and mentors staff regarding remediation and engineering activities and standards Works closely with field services departments Interfaces with clients as technical lead on remediation projects May manage all aspects of remediation/engineering-only projects Supervises, trains and mentors junior Engineering staff Assists with business development Ensures all projects adhere to GES’ Health & Safety standards Skills/Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical or, Mechanical) and 4-7+ years of environmental engineering/consulting experience Must be able to obtain the Maryland Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and P.E. licenses for Delaware, Virginia and the District of Columbia via reciprocity or comity within 2 years Managerial experience is required Must have excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills Must have a clean driving record, and be able to drive a company vehicle A Background Check and an Alcohol/Drug Screening are required Our comprehensive benefits program includes: medical, dental, vision, prescription, 401k, FSA, STD, LTD, New Parent Leave, 529 CollegeBound Fund, Tuition Assistance, Bonus Plan,  and more.
