PinnacleCare is a successful company that has mainly had PR exposure in luxury/wealth media, but now, given the mature stage of the business and the current economic environment, is seeking broader exposure in the national health care media.

Job Summary:
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced PR professional who enjoys building relationships with newspaper, magazine, TV journalists and online/social media at all levels and who loves the thrill of seeing the coverage they secure in the media. The Public Relations Director will be responsible for local, regional, national and online/social media relations activities and strategizing with our marketing and executive team about creative media/PR approaches and consistently communicating our results.

• 7-10+ years of Public Relations and extensive media relations experience required
• Proficiency in writing for the media. Must have extensive knowledge of mass media – print, broadcast, Internet/social media. Must have experience independently developing successful media relations strategies and executing national publicity initiatives.
• Prior experience in health care or related medical/science field.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills; ability to communicate concisely and creatively
• Flexibility and tenacity to thrive within a fast paced team with changing business requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, interface with c-level executives, handle sensitive communications with customers
• Stellar track record and ability to develop newsworthy attention and positive publicity around the company and its services
• Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Communications or similar field
