GoDaddy.com has an immediate opening in our Scottsdale office for a highly motivated, self-starting Software Development Team Manager.

What does the job entail?

·         Lead development team responsible for the software development of the company’s Smart Space web-based products

·         Take a hands-on leadership role in the design, development, and maintenance of the product

·         Grow the product team as required to meet goals

·         Perform standard managerial tasks including: day-to-day management, project management, intergroup communication, quarterly and annual performance reviews, MBO planning and assessments

·         Must be able to work independently to:

·         Gather and synthesize project requirements

·         Develop project implementation plans, including project schedules, person-power loading, cross-team interaction, and critical paths

·         Guide projects through the full development life cycle

·         Meet deadlines in a frequent release cycle

·         Overcome obstacles to deliver high-quality results on schedule

What do you need to do this job?

·         BS/MS in computer science, MIS, or equivalent

·         5+ years experience in software development teams

·         2+ years experience as team leader or development manager

·         Solid understanding of the software development process

·         Proven ability to understand complex distributed systems

·         Capacity to motivate and lead a team of software developers

·         Strong attention to detail

·         Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow-up

·         Strong troubleshooting skills

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Good people management and interpersonal skills

·         Capable of interacting on an ad-hoc basis with other departments to achieve project goals.

The following are pluses:

·         2+ years experience with C#,  .Net and ASP

·         Experience using Flash/FLEX

·         Experience using Microsoft development tools, Visual Studio .Net

·         Database development with MS SQL-Server

·         Practical experience using agile development methodologies
