Job Description

Psychiatrists are encouraged to consider a part-time practice opportunity with Liberty Healthcare.

Liberty Healthcare seeks to hire a Psychiatrist to join our organization’s newest forensic mental health program.

This program exclusively serves people who are justice involved, experiencing mental illness, and determined to be incompetent to stand trial due to their mental illness.

The goal of this program is to provide rapid mental health services to people in need - so they may achieve improved behavioral health outcomes as quickly as possible.

The program is designed to facilitate early access to services, eliminate barriers to treatment, and restore people to competency as quickly as possible.

Services will be provided to clients who are adult inmates at county jail facilities located in San Diego County.

As a Psychiatrist with Liberty Healthcare, you will provide short-term psychiatric care to adults remotely via telepsychiatry. Most clients are historically underserved and have serious and persistent mental illness.

As a new hire Psychiatrist with Liberty, you can expect starting pay between $200.00 and $215.00 per hour.

Liberty seeks to hire a Psychiatrist to work two 8-hour days weekly.





Skills/Requirements

You are a good fit for this position if you successfully completed a residency in Psychiatry and are licensed professionally in California as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy.

Experience providing psychiatric treatment to adults who have serious and persistent mental illness is required.
