What You Will Do:

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for deliveries, verifying shipment records, accepting shipments, and distributing materials and parts entering the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Opens shipments and confirms that the product quality and quantity are as per the purchase order (40%).
  • Unloads freight carriers and signs freight bills of lading (20%).
  • Delivers product to the proper inventory location, department, or personnel (10%).
  • Changes inventory locations when necessary (5%).
  • Works with Purchasing or vendors to resolve product concerns (5%).
  • Coordinates oversized delivery and large outgoing freight shipments to the correct delivery or shipping destinations (5%).
  • Directs or stages customer-supplied equipment in appropriate areas (5%).
  • Arrange to remove the company’s converting equipment waste (5%).
  • Arrange to remove waste wood, pallets, and recyclable cardboard (5%).

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
  • Require MS Proficiency, and the ability to learn Data Warehouse/Plex MRP systems.
  • At least two years of previous warehouse experience
  • Forklift certification and reach truck driving experience preferred.
  • Solution focused and process improvement driven.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with internal partners.
  • Bonus points if you bring experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement

Physical Demands:

  • ·Regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
  •  Required to walk, sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear, and use feet to operate machines.
  •  Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • ·Vision abilities include close vision and peripheral vision.
