Job Description

It's a great time to join JRC's Strategic Defense & International Operations Team! SDI&O works on mission critical initiatives to help our DoD partners quickly acquire accurate and timely data to make informed decisions while freeing up people and resources for other mission priorities. 

 

As the Technical Director, Radiation Effects, you will...  

  • Develop a strategy for growth with new customers within the Department of Defense with radiation hardened microelectronics needs 
  • Execute a plan for the company to grow its existing work in the development of hardened microelectronics 

  • Provide high level program management for technology sector research and development  

  • Assess schedule and cost baselines, be able to recommend viable solutions to problems, and pursue alternative courses of action.  

  • Plan, research, analyze and assess development, production, and deployment of circuit design tools and associated equipment. 

  • Develop plans and recommend innovative and effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives.  

  • Provide high level program management of multi-million dollar government contracts  

  • Plan, schedule and facilitate a variety of exchanges and meetings with the stakeholders to understand program requirements and emerging commercial technologies which may address capability gaps.  

  • Formulate, recommend, and draft the proper execution strategy and documentation in a timely and effective manner.  

  • Support all program reviews, develop supporting documentation, and support the Government in development and review of draft Request for Proposal (RFP) documents and RFP documents.  

  • Support and develop reports, including statutory and regulatory reports ; support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews; support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management  

What you bring to the table...  

  • A bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) field of study  
  • 10+ years career related experience to include: 

  • Electronic Design Automation to design microelectronic circuits  

  • Experience managing a project with multiple key stakeholders (government customers and subcontractors)  

  • Experience managing government contracts 

  • Eligibility to secure and maintain an active DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level 

  • An ability to travel up 25% per year 

Bonus Points for...  

  • A bachelor's degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering is preferred  
  • Candidates based in either Crane, IN or Huntsville, AL 

  • An active security clearance at the SECRET level or above (or have held an active clearance within the past 2 years)
