Job Description

The Boat Captain is a high-profile service and hospitality position. Working under the direction of the Director of Special Services, the Manager will provide services in the following areas: Boat Captain, Facilities Maintenance, Member Services and Special Projects. 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Captain, maintain, service, and coordinate activities for the Club’s Magnificent 7 Boat. 
  • Manage Programming for the Boat.
  • Assist Special Services Director in providing services for VIP clients. 
  • Support Facilities Maintenance Teams as assigned. 
  • Manage, Coordinate and Execute Special Projects as assigned. 
  • Support the Efforts of the Club to provide exceptional experiences for our members and guests. 
  • Provide financial oversight, tracking and reporting for the Boat and Special Projects assigned. 
  • Maintain a Captain’s Log for the Boat including maintenance, vendors utilized and regular service. 
  • Develop Standards of Operation for Boat Programming and Service. 
  • Purchase supplies, equipment, groceries, and other necessary items. 
  • Other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

 

  • The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, image, and presentation; be passionate about exemplary customer service and sincerely enjoy working with people.
  • Must have excellent communication and organization skills and an outgoing and friendly personality.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience operating and driving boats.
  • 2 years minimum experience working in an administrative or customer support role. Experience in a Hospitality and Service setting a plus.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, design software, databases, and other basic computer skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, to be covered under company vehicle policy.
  • Must have a current Boating Safety Certification. 
  • Must have current CPR and First Aid Certifications.
