Exciting Opportunity: Accounting Assistant

We are thrilled to announce a dynamic opening within our finance team for an Accounting Assistant. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of our organization by managing critical aspects of both our accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. The ideal candidate will be immersed in a variety of financial operations, contributing significantly to our department's success and upholding our commitment to excellence and integrity in every transaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Processing Excellence: Take the lead in posting cash receipts and managing accounts payable invoices with precision, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately within our system.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform monthly reconciliation of cash receipts, delivering insightful reports that support financial decision-making.
  • Document Management: Skillfully scan, index, and maintain financial documents in Docuware for a range of financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Medical Claims, and Payroll, ensuring a robust and accessible filing system.
  • Team Contribution and Professional Development: Play an active role in contributing to departmental goals, demonstrating a commitment to our core values, and continuously seeking personal growth and learning opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Educational and Professional Experience: An Associate Degree in accounting or equivalent, complemented by at least one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Intermediate skills in Excel and Word are essential, along with the ability to leverage financial software for efficient processing and reporting.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and execute work tasks to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor are crucial for effective teamwork and collaboration across departments.
