About the Position 

Join our team in a pivotal leadership role within the Facilities Management Department, including Environmental Services, Grounds, and Corporate Laundry. This position offers the unique opportunity to guide and develop multiple crucial operational areas within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing policies, performance, and functions across these departments, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and the highest standards of service.

Key Job Duties

  • Strategic Planning and Evaluation: Lead in the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of all departmental policies, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Development of Metrics and KPIs: Craft meaningful metrics and KPIs to monitor and enhance the performance of Facilities Management, Environmental Services, Grounds, and Corporate Laundry operations.
  • Team Development and Leadership: Take charge of the interviewing, selection, and development of all departmental employees, fostering a culture of growth through effective communication, training, and discipline.
  • Project and Vendor Management: Oversee capital construction projects, manage external contractors, and ensure compliance with budgetary and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Oversight and Compliance: Monitor financial performance within budgetary constraints and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, taking corrective actions as necessary to maintain the highest standards of operations.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Building Operations, Life Safety, and Maintenance, including 3 years in a management role with significant financial, operational, project, and personnel responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software; knowledge of PERT, CPM, and GANTT methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with staff, residents, and contractors.
