Federal Work Study Student  Job Announcement

Position: Federal Work Study –Interior Design

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Financial Aid

Reports to: Shirley Moon  Financial Aid Coordinator

Salary/Benefits: 10.00 per hour maximum 19.5 hour week. No State of Georgia benefits.

Deadline to Apply: August 1, 2023

  • Responsibilities:  Minimum of 1 year in working with architectural drafting software
  • Experience with architectural / interior detailing
  • Excellent CAD drafting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with construction detailing in a diverse range of building styles.
  • AutoCAD proficiency a must with knowledge of Revit; Sketch-Up; and Adobe Photoshop / InDesign is a plus
  • Must be willing to learn Kitchen Design Software - 20/20 or Chief Architect programs
  • Base knowledge about 3D printing and laser cutting or ability to learn
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • A very fast learner with the ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Word, and Excel
  • Organized, punctual, and a self-starter

Minimum Qualifications:  Current student at Athens Technical College. Must maintain registration of minimum 6 credit hours. Meet Federal Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements.

CAD drafting skills  AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Enrolled student in eligible program of study- registered for minimum 6 credit hours.

·         Not in default or owe repayment for and Federal Aid program.

·         Complete financial aid file verified by Office of Financial Aid.

Have unmet need by FAFSA guidelines.
