Job Description

Position Summary:

The Vice President, Business Development position will be responsible for leading and growing U.S. Government accounts, building upon CRI’s long history of supporting federal agencies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting professional with managerial experience, a track record in sales and experienced in mentoring and engaging a team.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Vice President will be required to successfully market to the Federal Government
  • Engage and maintain strong industry relationships within the customer-base, as well as overall market-place, so that strong strategic relationships can develop
  • Responsible for meeting current customers including travel; leading, coordinating and/or participating in customer visits, and presentations
  • Identify and assess opportunities; and communicating with internal stakeholders the winning capture plans inclusive of opportunity shaping strategic development and proposal development support
  • Collaborative with internal stakeholders and key departments to provide a coordinated effort toward strategic accounts capture
  • Must be able to perform market analysis
  • Develop and lead the ongoing short and long-term strategic plans for CRI Management Solutions Business Sales Unit
  • Motivating and mentoring staff to proactively identify, shape, and capture opportunities
  • Solve problems and energize the staff to make proactive decisions with their customer communications
  • Assessing the resources to execute the strategies defined for the CRI Management Solutions Division
  • Expand and grow business base by developing new customer relationships
  • Support the Company's short and long-term strategic plan to meet or exceed the current pipeline under direction from senior leadership
  • Overall responsibility for the accuracy and achievement of their Bookings Forecast and Plan
  • Visit prospective, new, and existing customers on a regular basis
  • Perform competitive market analysis. Monitor competitive activity and identifies customer needs
  • Formulate and exercise marketing plans and programs, both short and long range to ensure achievement of financial objectives, and products and services innovation
  • Supports and monitors the Bid and Proposal Budgets
  • Assist in the development of the planning, designing and implementing of business plans, such as, capture plans, proposal activities




Skills/Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline or 5 years of experience as a Business Development Manager
  • Minimum of 10 years of business development experience in federal government contracting and business development management; 5 years in senior-level role (director or above)
  • 10 years supervisory and management experience
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Service Contract Act (SCA) experience
  • MBA or master’s in Marketing or Business Management related field
  • Knowledge of GovWin, Salesforce, and Shipley methodology

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Ability to work on extremely complex problems
  • Proven success leading business development activities
  • Ability to design and communicate daily work flows
  • Must possess exemplary leadership skills
  • Ability to train and effectively motivate others
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office applications; including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
