Job Description

Position Summary:

Central Research, Inc. is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant II to support our Federal Government customer.  The position is located in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Oversee and monitor workflow for other staff
  • Create and update property Excel spreadsheets
  • Pack and ship IT equipment and miscellaneous items
  • Create shipping labels
  • Enter property and update databases (FBMS, SharePoint 2013)
  • Receive and inventory property
  • Verify serial numbers, inventory data, item descriptions, etc.
  • Complete property forms
  • Compose and respond to emails from and to client, staff, managers, vendors, etc.
  • Create and maintain property files  
  • Oversee office moves when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned




Skills/Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • 3 years minimum work experience in business, administration, or a related field (an advanced degree may be substituted for 1 year of experience)
  • Must be eligible to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college preferred
  • Proficiency with using MS Office and Google online tools such as Gmail and Google Docs

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Possess good verbal and written skills
  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have good customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must have good attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal to no supervision
  • Creative, independent thinker, and have good foresight
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
