Job Description

The Director of National Sales (DNS) will lead the effort to establish Central Research, Inc. (CRI) as a respected collection agency nationally and grow our Improper Payments Service (IPS).  Initially, the Director will develop a strategy with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to secure both IPS and collection opportunities. This is a key sales management position at CRI and the Director is tasked with developing and executing the plans for our expansion into collection receivables

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Formulate and execute a plan for the expansion of CRI into the collection market
  • Responsible for all tasks necessary to secure business opportunities for CRI, including but not limited to: preparing marketing materials, qualifying prospects, generate leads, extensive telephone work, attend conferences and overseeing the writing of proposals and contracts
  • Write articles, develop presentations, and represent CRI in the targeted market place
  • Assist with developing training materials, as needed
  • Acts as a resource in assisting operational management with questions
  • Assist in developing standards and quality assurance to meet clients’ needs
  • May supervise staff in the future
  • Other duties as assigned




Skills/Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.  May substitute 1 year of relevant experience for each year of required education
  • 7 years’ sales and/or client service experience
  • Sales experience on a national scale with clients and prospects
  • Experience with the development of marketing and sales plans, materials, and managing the proposal process

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • The individual must have a high degree of discipline, experience, and ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Competent working knowledge of common software programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to inspect and review client status reports
  • Creative, dedicated, and responsible thinker

Other Information

  • Extensive national travel required, up to 50% as needed to achieve CRI’s objectives.
  • Relocation to either of our offices desired but not required
  • Management and supervisory experience of sales staff desired
