Job Description

Position Summary:

Central Research is searching for a HR Generalist/Recruiting Specialist to join our CRI team in Gallatin, TN. This position will provide HR and Recruiting support primarily for the office in Gallatin, TN. This position will report directly to the HR Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties:

 Human Resources:

  • Provide Human Resources (HR) support for facility of 100 employees
  • Maintain compliance with all federal rules and regulations including EEOC, AAP, DOL Wage and Hour, FMLA etc.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and confidential employee files
  • Participate in the new hire process by completing pre-employment screening items, verifications, and providing internal new hire orientation to all new employees
  • Report to HR Leadership on policy matters and provide guidance on resolving work-related issues
  • Work with HR Leadership to conduct employee investigations, as needed
  • Complete post-hire requirements – I9 and E-Verify
  • Assists HR Leadership in interpreting and administering Human Resources policies and procedures, programs, and developing best practices
  • Provide administrative support to Corporate HR department as needed
  • Assist with various HR tasks such as administering policies and programs as needed and as it relates to communicating SCA information
  • Answering employee requests and questions
  • Acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with onsite staff - provide employee relations support
  • Present recommendations for process improvement and other changes to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices
  • Assist with adhoc HR projects
  • Executes the HR strategy to support the business unit
  • Administer exit interviews

Recruiting:

  • Implement strategies to attract and maintain an engaged workforce
  • Review resumes and phone screen candidates
  • Communicate candidate information and schedule updates to our Talent Acquisition (TA) team and on-site management staff
  • Schedule interviews for potential candidates
  • Complete weekly recruiting summary reports to TA team
  • Provide administrative support to Talent Acquisition department as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local placement offices, employment agencies, schools, etc.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest Recruiting trends and best practices
  • Assist with adhoc Recruiting projects




Skills/Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and 2 years of experience in Human Resources or related field OR 5 years of experience in a Human Resources or related field.
  • 2 years of Recruiting experience
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with OFCCP regulations
  • Understanding of HR and Recruiting functions and best practices
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, especially Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Human Resources certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively on the phone and in-person as well as in writing
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player
  • Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to flex communication style to all levels of the organization
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to Labor Laws and employment equity regulations
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
