Position Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Manager for this rapidly growing manufacturer is responsible for Talent Acquisition strategy and execution, as well as onboarding, retention, and employee/labor relations; the Human Resources Manager will also provide coaching for both employees and managers; lastly, they will manage additional projects on an as needed basis, such as: employee engagement, social media, HR metrics, and union contract negotiations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

Creates talent acquisition strategy and execution; manages and deploys end-to-end recruitment processes, from initial job specification through candidate onboarding, ensuring the process is aligned with recruiting strategy; provides leadership and expertise in broad recruiting solutions and activities to ensure high levels of service delivery

Partners with the appropriate internal and external business partners and utilizes deep understanding of recruitment to develop strategies, policies, and processes for recruitment; partners with internal business partners to assess future talent implications based on business needs tied to the company strategy

Develops the employee value proposition to attract, engage, and retain key talent; manages the candidate experience to ensure all candidates are treated with integrity, respect, and enthusiasm, from initial contact through final disposition

Maintains expert knowledge of external talent acquisition trends, policies, and processes; maintains knowledge of manufacturing industry trends

Actively builds passive talent pool/network for assigned functional or geographical areas to enhance the efficiency of applicant generation

Develop and manage key vendor relationships related to scope and responsibilities, to ensure high levels of service delivery

Manage innovative process improvement and streamlining initiatives in North America and with global partners to include: Talent Branding, Technology Tools (ATS), Social Media Marketing, Candidate Experience and Workforce Planning

Participates in college recruiting program, succession management, and retention initiatives, onboarding and career development programs

Support training and development to include needs analysis, sourcing, training, evaluation, and budgetary review; also includes other regional and global program support, as needed; develop, conduct, and/or facilitate organization-wide training as needed (examples include: leadership development, performance management/development, recruitment/selection techniques and technical skills training through vendor resources)

Manages employee relations and retention, resolving employment issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, disputes and general questions in both a union and non-union environment

Counsels managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policies, and employment law

Actively participates in management and labor committee meetings

Continually explore and recommend process improvements

Perform benchmarking activities and partner with the Director of Human Resources to help influence the business

Practices knowledge of OSHA and basic production floor safety regulations; assists with Safety compliance

Performs all job functions in a safe manner and maintains safety awareness

Reports known accidents, injuries and unsafe practices and/or conditions to supervisor per safety guidelines

Manage, coach and mentor other HR Team members; provides training and technical support as needed

Participate in development of HR team strategic plan, annual objectives, and budget

Participates as member of HR leadership team to assist with other HR initiatives and generalist responsibilities

Performs all other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or other related business program is required; Master’s Degree and/or SPHR/GPHR Certification is preferred

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist role with working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including: talent acquisition and management, union contract administration, employee and labor relations, and federal and state employment laws

Proven abilities in project management methodology and execution

Ability to professionally communicate and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization, with key stakeholders and external partnerships

Proven ability to demonstrate high level of professionalism, exercise appropriate judgment, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment

Must be able to maintain company and employee confidentiality at all times

Strong business acumen in a manufacturing environment with a continuous improvement mindset

Ability to travel to US locations up to 10%
