Job Description

Position Summary:

The Training Manager will support our federal government client by implementing, facilitating, and assessing the effectiveness of required training.  This position will work to identify trends and implement remediation efforts to ensure staff are aware of the requirements needed for high performance.  This position will also be responsible for research, surveys, and analysis of training tools and methods.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Oversee training program for new hires
  • Manage course curriculum and class-specific content in learning management system to ensure regulatory requirements are integrated into appropriate materials and required document control processes are followed
  • Assess operational performance measures and systems to identify systemic frontline developmental and coaching needs
  • Develop, recommend, and implement remediation efforts to include a wide variety of job performance tools and learning
  • Collaborate with leadership across departments to create, maintain, and update training materials
  • Establish and monitor quantitative and qualitative metrics
  • Develop survey and evaluation methods to gauge opportunities for further training or development
  • Utilize metrics and feedback to drive continuous content and process improvement efforts for the training and development function
  • Actively search for, design and implement effective training methods
  • Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and HR staff
  • Manage regulatory-mandated training programs as well as additional requirements
  • Ensure training is tracked per procedures and/or contractual obligations and report training statistics to clients as outlined in specific contracts
  • Mentor, support, and maintain training records for all contract-related subcontractors
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Training Assistants




Skills/Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • 1 year of experience in training design, delivery and assessment
  • 1 year of management experience
  • US Citizenship is required per the contract
  • Able to obtain and retain a 5C Suitability clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in training design, delivery and assessment experience
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing collections including Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Privacy Act, and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of learning and development best practices
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and classroom facilitation skills
  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Office applications, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to design and deliver impactful and creative learning and developmental opportunities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel between local sites as needed
