Nationally-acclaimed chef Mike Lata serves as the consulting chef for the new restaurant and brings his years of expertise to an already talented Club team. Lata is a James Beard Award-winning chef and his restaurants, FIG and The Ordinary, located in downtown Charleston, have garnered national attention and praise. Fitting right in with the Club’s existing culinary philosophy of “keeping it local”, Lata has a longstanding and outspoken commitment to support local farmers, fishermen and purveyors.

Service periods will include Lunch, Brunch, and Dinner

Candidate Abilities  

·        Arrives at work on time for scheduled shifts in uniform and excited to provide hospitality

·        Maintains an understanding of the proper steps of service required of all FOH service positions

·        Have a professional knowledge base of classic and creative cocktails

·        Can interpret guest’s desires and bring them to life in liquid form

·        Maintain mental athleticism for coordination between the cycles of service of those dining at the bar, and producing the beverages needed in other areas of the restaurant

·        Have a base knowledge and understanding of classic cookery, wine, beer, and cocktails

·        Menu and beverage knowledge is comprehensive and kept current as menus evolve

·        Communicates and listens to effectively deliver accurate messaging to both guests and teammates

·        Derives pleasure from providing hospitality

·        Takes pride in working with a first class team
