Lighthouse Academies New York is seeking an innovative and dynamic Talent Intern to support our Talent Management Team! This position is ideal for someone who is interested in working in Education, Human Resources, and/or Talent Management. The Talent Intern will assist in leading the staff marketing and recruitment process on behalf of Lighthouse NYC and works to keep awesome educators in our schools. The role is mission critical because top teaching talent is a school’s lifeblood. This role will collaborate with Lighthouse Academies New York Associate Director of Talent Acquisition, Lighthouse Academies National Team, and local key stakeholders to design, implement, and execute a multi-year recruiting and retention strategy for Lighthouse NYC. It doesn’t stop at onboarding employees; the role ensures that future organizational talent demands are met, exceeded, and measured.
The responsibilities of the Talent Intern includes, but is not limited to:
Assist with managing our Regional Talent Ambassadors, a student-led initiative
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Talent Acquisition, assist with setting the vision, goals, strategy for recruiting and retaining high quality talent
Develop strategy for candidate sourcing by utilizing all available tools, including company website, social media, job boards, employee referrals, and recruiting tools
In collaboration with the Associate Director of Talent Acquisition, oversee conversion of cultivated candidates from first contact to application to joining the team to supporting with retention
Manage recruitment database and analyze recruitment reports on a regular basis to monitor the status of candidates
Oversee Hirebridge, the applicant tracking system, including recommendations for and facilitation of upgrades and improvements
Oversee the development and updating of job descriptions with key stakeholders to ensure they are aligned with needs of our school
Scheduling and facilitating interview days for prospective teachers and school leaders

Minimum Qualifications
Education:Current college students and/or college graduates are welcome to apply!
Experience, KNOWLEDGE & Skills:
Familiarity with the NYC area
Ability to commit to 8-10 per week (in person and/or remotely)
Prior experience working in a school setting (Preferred)
Strong desire to work within an innovative, urban educational program
Highly effective writing, oral and interpersonal skills to communicate with a varied audience
