Job Description

Role Summary:  Daily cycle counting of pipe and PRP and ensuring controls are in place to ensure accurate Plant inventory. Monitors and controls the movement of products to and from finished goods inventory throughout the Plant. Enters data for pipe issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments. Troubleshoots any quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and quality personnel. Position assists and actively participates in all plant inventories as directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily cycle counts and reconciles data to ensure accurate inventory. Assists in administration of PRP cycle counts/audits conducted by hourly employees.
  • Inspects designated finished product inventories; labels and packages finished goods and bins as required to maintain identification.
  • Ensures controls are in place to control WIP inventory. Performs and/or audits this process daily. Works with Cold Side Area Supervisors to schedule WIP Inventories.
  • Assists with the daily entry of product movements in Plant systems. Monitors SAP movements 901-998; clears negatives in Shipping and Packaging; monitors and clears SAP Returns Status & STG.
  • Monitors storage location 999 bin inventories and takes corrective action as required.
  • Assists supervisory personnel with training employees in the use of scanning equipment and other tasks related to WIP and FG inventories.
  • Monitors RTP movements for accuracy. Monitors daily moves to FG that fail and ensures moves get transacted properly.
  • Analyzes inventory discrepancies and adjusts as needed. Analyzes all movements of inventory to ensure that movements are recorded accurately and timely.




Skills/Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working in Distribution & Inventory Control or related area is a plus.
  • Should have a basic understanding of bar-coding and product identification techniques obtained through job experience and/or specialized training, competency with RTS System and various RF devices (hand-held scanner and touch screen scanners).
  • Should have good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel and the ability to perform SAP transactions.
  • Position also requires good attention to detail, problem solving, being a self-starter and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Requires H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.  College degree is preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of Company’s products.
