Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia seeks an Lab Assistant to assist in the Emergency Medical Services Program; specifically in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses.

The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate practical techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for each of the courses offered.

Minimum Qualifications

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PALS instructor certifications.
Considerable knowledge of principles and techniques of educational and training methods.
Considerable knowledge of advanced emergency medical treatment and advanced life support techniques.
Present experience in the instruction of BLS, ACLS, or PALS and in objectively evaluating students in an educational environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Current licensure as an EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Paramedic, or Registered Nurse.
