Versatile Senior Software Development Engineer

MultiScale Health Networks is joint venture between Providence Health Systems (2nd largest not-for-profit hospital system in the United States) and Sabey Corporation (operates one of the oldest and largest privately owned multi-tenant data centers in the world). Our current product is a React Web-app with a Golang backend service API to quickly provide the frontend with data and aggregates.  Our team spans product, use experience design, frontend, middle-tier, backend and data-science.  In this role you will work closest with the front-end, middle-tier and backend to provide the UI layer with the data it needs. We mostly run a Go backend on the Gin framework, to fuel a Single-page app written in React. We iterate quickly, shipping on weekly and monthly cadences. 

Key technical responsibilities include:

• Strong development principles, including experience with testing and TDD, object-oriented design, and system/API design. 
• Work directly with non-devs (designers, PMs, user researchers, etc.) to ship great products. 
• Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring and improving the work you and your teammates create.
• Passion for quality, taking pride in keeping users happy and engineering quality high. 
• Believe that modern tools for healthcare professionals are more than a business opportunity. 

Qualifications:

• At least 8-10 or more years of experience developing web apps, with particular focus on scalable, performant APIs interacting with large data-sets.  
• Computer Science Bachelor of Science (or related field) or equivalent experience
• Professional experience as the primary owner/developer of serval components or features running in production.  
• Professional experience building a Go (or Java or other) app as an API for a JavaScript front-end.
• Experience working with extremely sensitive data (PCI, HIPAA, etc)
• Passion for new technology and customer focus
