Job Description

Summary:

Central Research is seeking a Research Specialist (RS) to support our Lowell, AR location.

The RS will conduct extensive internet research and skip tracing to locate obituaries or similar vital records. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, with proven ability to work independently.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Make independent decisions concerning consumer accounts
  • Perform data entry using custom software
  • Must be able to interact professionally on the telephone with customers and clients
  • Perform data entry using Excel spreadsheets and Company databases
  • Create and save documents using PDF software
  • Conduct extensive Internet research
  • Perform skip tracing
  • Make and receive phone calls to family members, funeral homes and vital records offices to verify and/or obtain information
  • Perform basic filing
  • Review and process promissory notes
  • Interact with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data and clients
  • Proof work to ensure quality assurance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED certificate
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and handling confidential information discreetly
  • US Citizenship is required per the contract
  • Must be able obtain and retain a 5C Suitability clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficient with PDF software
  • Basic computer typing skills
  • Internet research skills
  • Skip tracing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well with internal and external customers
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with personally identifiable and confidential information
