Job Description


CRI is actively seeking applicants for the evening shift of our General File/Clerk I position!

The General Clerk I supports a variety of functions within the file operational area at the Texas Service Center.  

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Sort Files                    
  • Identify files for repair
  • Assemble physical files
  • Interfiles and fastens documents into files
  • Retrieve files
  • Generate manifests
  • Prepare files for shipping
  • Generate screen prints and barcodes
  • Perform searches and queries
  • Scans file barcodes
  • Verify data and updates data
  • Scans and adjust documents
  • Photocopy documents
  • Deliver files to identified destination
  • Update systems from barcode scanning or keying
  • Reviews file for final action steps and secures loose documents
  • Place files on shelves
  • Prepare materials for destruction
  • Knowledgeable of contract performance requirements and acceptable quality levels for assigned tasks to achieve contract compliance

Minimum Requirements

  • 2nd Shift only, Monday – Friday (3:00 PM 11:30 PM)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must type 20 wpm with 95% accuracy
  • Stable job history required 
  • Good credit required
  • No felonies
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Physical labor involved moving boxes
  • Must be able to climb ladders in the work place for filing
  • US Citizenship required
  • Security Access clearance

SCA hourly pay rate is $13.15 + .40 (shift differential) 

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

The current job location is in Mesquite, TX.

Future location in Irving, TX expected in Spring of 2020.
