Job Description

Position Title: Digital Marketing Director

Department: Marketing

Reports to: SVP Marketing

Position Summary:

The Digital Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and managing all digital marketing channels to support the Company's overall strategic and growth goals; they will support marketing efforts to increase demand for Company product offerings, especially Loans and Checking Accounts to underserved consumers who are not yet Company Members.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute plans to expand and optimize the reach of digital channels to drive website sales in order to meet Company goals
  • Partner with business analysts to generate and analyze ongoing reports on digital marketing effectiveness using website metrics, sales funnel data, and financial reporting
  • Work with internal teams and agency partners to plan and implement digital campaigns
  • Develop and implement plan to use email marketing and text messaging channels to help members with their finances and expand relationships
  • Manage digital onboarding of new members in a way that helps them get the most of out their products and services
  • Develop/design new digital products or services to profitably support our mission of service to the underserved




Skills/Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of digital channels and marketing of consumer goods
  • Ability to manage digital campaigns and understand sales funnel effectiveness in real-time, including response metrics, campaign costs, and relevance to the business
  • Ability to identify and target specific consumer segments (behavior or demographic) using digital channels
  • Knowledge of financial service products, subprime customer buying preferences, behavior and trends preferred

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to communicate business findings in a concise, understandable manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team, while being accountable for individual duties and responsibilities, within a decentralized management structure
  • Ability to provide solutions to the marketing team and senior management

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in consumer digital marketing and advertising
  • Excellent grasp of website metrics, SEO, lead generation and sales funnel analysis
  • Demonstrable experience with email marketing and text message notifications
  • Proven experience managing a marketing budget effectively with reporting and accountability

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required; advanced degree a plus
  • Practical experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements
