Advatech Pacific is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Irvine, California location. The primary focus will be on Design, Testing, Failure Analysis, RCCA and Technical Writing. This position will include participating in regular meetings to coordinate design details with clients, designers, engineers and management.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Must be capable of 28 VDC analog circuit board design and troubleshooting 
• Must have EMI and Lightning knowledge with testing experience
• Must have background with electromechanical hardware and DC motors
• Familiarity with component obsolescence and replacement using 4D Online
• Conduct Thermal Analysis (Electronics)
• Tasks include RCCA investigations or failure analyses of returned goods.
• Shall possess good problem-solving skills and the ability to provide solutions
• Must be able to develop Test Procedures (including Development, Risk Mitigation, Reliability Enhanced Testing, Acceptance and Qualification) from customer requirements
• Develop Qualification by Similarity Documents
• Assess Specification Compliance Tabulations

Primary Qualifications include:

• A minimum of 3-5 years Electrical Engineering Experience.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Assisting Customers as required. (Project Management experience is preferred)
• Must be a self-starter and understand the need for accuracy, timeliness and quality in assigned work tasks.
• Working knowledge MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, LabVIEW, AutoCAD, ORCAD, MKS, Dx Designer, and other EE related software and tools.

Education

Requires a Bachelor’s of Science or Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
