This position will be a project based assignment at our Bessemer, Alabama facility.  The initial project will be working with our Shipping and Procurement departments in order to assist in a cost savings initiative where we will be evaluating the usage of our leased forklift fleet. The basic premise will be to gather data on the routes that all of our fork trucks travel on a daily basis in the performance of their job. Our trucks accumulate data that we are wanting to analyze and display through the use of spaghetti charts, modeling or other visual metrics to determine if we are using our mobile equipment in the most efficient manner. We would also like to determine if we could reduce our usage of trucks through efficiency improvements and thus reduce the amount of expense that we currently have with our fleet.

We can be flexible, within reason, for a person’s course schedule and work days in order to assist them and us in the completion of this project.
