The prestigious and private Kiawah Island Club has an immediate opening for experienced full-time Pro Shop Sales Associate. This is not a typical retail sales job. There are no rehearsed sales pitches and no store credit cards to push. To deliver the kind of personalized attention our Club is known for and that our Members deserve, we require polished and professional sales associates with strong social skills. The ability to read and respond to social cues is essential.

The pro shop is generally open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Candidates must be willing and able to work a 40-hour work week, either AM or PM shifts including weekdays and weekends. Qualified candidates will have at least one year of retail sales experience and some college education. A friendly, outgoing personality and the ability to make others feel welcome are essential. Because this position requires frequent interaction with Members and their guests within the pro shop and clubhouse areas, a clean-cut, conservative image reflective of the club’s standards is required. A general knowledge of sportswear (particularly performance fabrics) is helpful, but not required. Previous hostessing experience is a plus. This position is an ideal fit for a recent college graduate with experience in the retail industry and interest in sports and sports retail.
