Job Summary:

In this position, you will assist the Director of Tax with sales and property tax audits, monitor changes to sales/property tax rate and regulations and implement changes as necessary. The successful candidate will also act as a resource for our customer service representatives and other internal department as well as various tax authorities to resolve tax issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly/quarterly sales and use tax returns
Preparation of annual property tax returns
•   Preparation of annual reports/registrations
Processing sales, use and property tax payments
Reconciliation of tax accounts
Updating/verifying various tax rates as needed
Utilization of tax preparation software and Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel
Resolve the tax notice timely and effectively
Assist on any other tax and non-tax related projects

Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies:

Advanced Excel skills required
Tax research skills using Checkpoint preferred
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and accurately work with numbers, deadlines and details
Excellent verbal and written communication
Candidate must have the ability to gain proficiency in various tax applications such as PTMS


Education and Experience:
•     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent, relevant experience
•     1-3 years tax experience preferred
