Job Description

St. John's Episcopal Hospital is recruiting for a Behavioral Health Risk Coordinator. We offer  PTO, have Comprehensive Benefits. 

This person will coordinate and implement the Risk Management and Quality Improvement activities for the Department of Psychiatry/Behavioral Health, including Incident Review Management, Quality Improvement (QI). This candidate will also act as a Liaison with the NYS OMH and Justice Center for reporting activities and coordinates the judicial activities related to retention, treatment over objection, and patient requested court hearings for both the Inpatient and Ambulatory Care Programs/Clinics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Director of Risk Management, Behavioral Health Director and Nurse Manager in selecting performance measures for the year to improve program performance, regulatory compliance, complete corrective actions, and enhance annual program evaluation(s).
  • Coordinating the QI activities of the behavioral health Department, including developing QI measures related to the required corrective actions (POC) for deficiencies identified by regulatory agencies (SOD).
  • Serves as the liaison to OMH and Justice Center field office in regards to incidents and Coordinates Justice Center activity including staff and patient to interviews in collaboration with the Director of Risk Management.
  • Coordinates the process for treatment over objection and retention of patients that are identified for inclusion in this process; including obtaining medical records, obtaining legal input, coordinating dates, working with behavioral health team members to facilitate patient appointments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 





Skills/Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • RN-BSN/BS
  • Minimum of 3-5 years healthcare related experience
  • Behavioral health related experience; inpatient units, ambulatory settings, and /or  substance abuse programs

    Preferred:

  • MS -  Nursing, Health Administration

Risk and /or Quality Management experience ( 3-5 years
