Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia seeks a Vice President of Economic Development Services. The Vice President of Economic Development Services is responsible to the President for strengthening ties between the community and college by building alliances with businesses, industries, and community organizations. The Vice President of Economic Development Services will provide leadership to an economic development staff in the development of a service area-wide learning network that is easily accessible and adaptable to the changing business and industry environment of the college’s service delivery area. Areas of responsibility include business and industry services and work-related continuing education. Additionally, the Vice President provides leadership to two community campuses through Campus Managers and their staff. The Vice President assists the campuses in attaining academic enrollment goals, satisfying community training needs and in growing and enhancing the college presence and stature in those communities. Skills/Requirements | ||||||||||||||||||||
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of work related experience or Master’s degree and three (3) years of work related experience. Preferred Qualifications Minimum qualifications plus specific experience in economic development, post-secondary education, and industry related programs.
