St. John's Episcopal  Hospital is recruiting for a Bed Capacity Nurse Manager. 

Job Summary:

The Role of the Bed Capacity Nurse Manager is to constantly monitor predicted and actual current bed availability based on the information provided by the nursing units and admitting. Identify and respond to barriers identified as impediments to patient flow. Facilitate admissions from the ED and Recovery room to inpatient beds.

Requirements & Skills

Minimum 3- 5 years experience in health care management field.

BA/BSN required, MBA preferred.

Current NYS RN License.

Experience in team based, Collective Bargaining environment desirable.

Basic knowledge of regulator agency requirements, establishment of staffing patterns and creation of staffing schedules required

Initiative, vision, creativity and flexibility a must.

Must possess and maintain current American Heart Association certification in Basic Life Support ( BLCLS)

Must have ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at various stages of development.

Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of independent access to confidential patient and organization information and must be able to handle such information appropriately.
