St. John's Episcopal Hospital is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant. In this role, he/she will provide clerical, secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Education/Professional Practice Development and the education department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:
Attends department meeting and record/distribute meeting minutes.
Answers and screens telephone calls and refers calls to the appropriate individual and/or takes detailed messages.
Creating/revising all departmental memos, letters, documents, reports, policies and procedures, minutes, and all other documents as required.
Manages calendar and schedules appointments for department head.
Organizes and maintains administrative files.
Updates CEU Direct.
Superuser for LMS.
Performs other related task when assigned and or necessary.
Skills/Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalency required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of three years of secretarial and/or administrative Assistant experience in a hospital environment or other health care facility preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
Excellent judgment, verbal and written communication skills.
Able to collect & also scan documents in to system.
Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
