Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia, seeks an adjunct instructor to teach degree, diploma and learning support courses in English and Reading at the Walton County Campus of Athens Technical College. The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate teaching techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve learning outcomes for each course offered.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 18 semester hours in English. A master’s degree and / or graduate hours in teaching or education does not meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements.
• Strong communication skills and work ethic.
• Willingness to teach at the Walton County Campus of Athens Technical College.
• Willingness to teach Athens Technical College courses on area high school and career academy campuses.
• Willingness to teach using all college approved methods (Ex. face to face, online, audio / video, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to teach at all Campuses of Athens Technical College.
• Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
• Experience with online teaching platforms; Blackboard preferred.
