Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia, seeks an adjunct instructor to teach Diploma and Learning Support courses in English at our Elbert County Campus in Elberton, GA. The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate teaching techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve learning outcomes for each course offered.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Reading or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and work ethic.
• Willingness to teach at the Elbert County Campus of Athens Technical College.
• Willingness to teach at all Athens Technical College locations.
• Willingness to teach using all college approved methods (Ex. face to face, online, audio / video, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in English or Reading
• Willingness to teach at all Athens Technical College locations
• Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level
• Experience with online teaching platforms, Blackboard preferred.
