St. John's Episcopal Hospital is recruiting for a Manager for the Engineering Department/Plant Maintainence. This position is a full time, non union position. We have excellent benefits, 4 weeks vacation, Tuition Reimbursement and eligibility for the 403B after one year of employment.

Summary:

• Assists in planning, scheduling and supervision all repair work of building and grounds.
• Ensures that all jobs are completed safely and efficiently.   
• The position directly supervises all personnel assigned to projects and work orders. Conducts routine spot checks as needed.

• Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
• Makes period inspections to boilers, motors, pumps, generators and other essential equipment
• Assists in making sure that all log books, records and other date relating to the departmental activities are maintained and kept current
• Orients new employees in the proper operation of equipment and other job functions

3-5 years of maintenance supervision experience, preferably in a Union setting.

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency certificate required; Associates Degree is preferred

Good oral and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft

Must demonstrate good organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
