Job Description

Role Summary:  To provide clerical support to Project Services Estimating Team, RFQ email management, create quotations for Estimators, assign quotations to Estimators, maintain and file RFQ Green Sheets, and other needs as management sees fit for the USP Project Services Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with Supervisor of Estimating and Drafting to manage all RFQ requests that are sent to Project Services by: acknowledging RFQs to the requesting party (customer or FAB Processing groups), creating new quotations from emailed RFQs, and works with Supervisor of Estimating and Drafting to assign quotations to the appropriate Estimators.
  • Works with Supervisor of Estimating and Drafting to assign take-offs when they are received in to Project Services. Has drawings sent off to be printed, if necessary.
  • Assists Supervisor of Estimating and Drafting to provide drawing number prefix to Drafters, if a quote has not already been provided on project.
  • Assists as back-up to Portal Estimator and/or ISR in Customer Service as needed and directed by Project Services Manager and Supervisor of Estimating and Drafting.
  • Performs any needed task in department as requested by Project Services Manager, and the Supervisor of Estimating and Drafting.
  • Performs other duties as may be required.




Skills/Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good computer skills and experience. 
  • Requires diligent presence in work area to be responsive to customer calls and e-mails. 
  • Knowledge and experience with telephone contact preferred. 
  • Good communication, interpersonal and persuasive skills. 
  • Good patience and ability to deal with people. 
  • Must be a self-motivated, self-starter.
  •  

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED. 
  • Four years industrial or manufacturing sales experience preferred, three years as ISRI preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • The employee will be working in an office environment, however, it will require some exposure to the pipe plant thus exposing the employee to Foundry operations.  The employee will be exposed (very briefly) to the following working conditions:  Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles.
  • The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time):  Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, and Sitting.  The majority of the actions will be sitting.
