POSITION SUMMARY:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Help organize and catalog open line samples, components, and vendor chart Library
  • Turn over tech packs to jewelry vendors overseas
  • Help design teams with various daily tasks, from clerical, organizational, to creative projects
  • Retail shopping in-store as well as online competitive research.  Must be willing to visit various stores in NYC neighborhoods to look for new ideas and trends
  • Costume jewelry design techniques, vocabulary, construction, and manufacturing process
  • Use Photoshop and Illustrator to technically produce a jewelry line
  • General administrative details as needed




Skills/Requirements

IDEAL CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fashion Merchandising or equivalent degree
  • 0-1 years design experience including internship(s)
  • Background in Jewelry design or Accessory design preferred   
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills
  • Strong computer systems experience and knowledge (PLM, PDM, Blue Cherry or similar)
  • Proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Attention to detail
