Job Description

This individual is responsible for managing various accounts and other assets as assigned, primarily problem or special assets, from the bank’s portfolio. This individual is expected to work in concert with other members of the Special Assets/Resolution Management Group, and with other bank staff when appropriate.
 





Skills/Requirements
  • Monitors existing loans for conformity to terms and conditions.
  • Analyzes financial statements and related information.  Evaluates client’s financial condition and capacity to repay outstanding debt.
  • Develops and implements a plan of action to protect and improve the bank’s position through negotiating satisfactory repayment schedules, obtaining additional collateral and/or restructuring as appropriate.
  • Reviews existing loan documentation for errors and omissions.
  • Negotiates satisfactory repayment schedules.
  • Obtains additional collateral and/or restructuring as appropriate.
  • Assists with the management and liquidation of ORE assets.
  • Prepares periodic management reports.
  • Reduces the bank’s exposure to loss in commercial loan workouts
  • Devises and implements repayment plans for problem commercial loans.
  • Prepares periodic reports for management.
  • Actively participates with and assists senior lending officers on larger, more complex credits.
  • Adhere to bank’s credit policies, maintains required documents; clears exceptions, monitors covenant compliance, and recommends risk rating changes.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commercial credit; financial/analytical, & collateral/assessment capabilities.
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy law and issues, and collection law is preferred.
  • Ability to convey, pursue and protect the bank’s interests in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work in a team environment within RMG and with other bank personnel.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and work experience involving special assets. 
  • Must have two to five years’ experience in Managed Assets/Commercial Loan Workout and Commercial Loan Collections experience, including extensive workout experience in asset based workout and commercial real estate.
  • Experience bringing resolution to complicated work outs for loans ranging from $500,000 to $3 million.
  • Experience interacting with outside counsel on work outs is preferred.

Computer and Software Skills

  • Skilled in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and in Google Docs.
