Role Summary: To supervise employees in the operations of new Marvel City Mini Mill; produce pipe at or below budgeted cost consistent with quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures and promotes employee safety through administration of safety procedure and techniques.
Supervises and trains assigned personnel in efficient work procedures, process standards, maintenance of a safe work place, and good housekeeping.
Schedules and assigns employees and equipment based on anticipated needs, and adjusts the equipment to meet unexpected situations.
Observes operational activities closely and directs changes in methods of operating or work habits to correct operating problems and to maintain quality standards.
Coordinates repairs and other related activities with appropriate departments and personnel as required.
Evaluates various production and operating reports, utilizing data to optimize operations. Prepares routine reports, correspondence, memoranda as required.
Works efficiently with hourly employees in areas of responsibility, consulting with HR, Operations Manager, or others as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of ductile iron pipe making processes such as casting, melting, or annealing.
The ability to plan and direct the work of hourly employees engaged in the pipe making process.
Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent
3 years of relevant heavy industrial experience
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
The employee will be working primarily in the manufacturing facility and will be exposed to Foundry operations. The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles.
The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, and Sitting.
