JOB TITLE: Senior Analyst, Program Management (PMO), R&D

2. GENERAL JOB SUMMARY (1 paragraph overview describing the primary function and focus of this position)

The Senior Analyst, Program Management (PMO) will be responsible for supporting the management of strategic Aptean R&D Programs. The individual will work to support PMO leadership to work collaboratively with R&D teams, cross-functional and cross-departmental teams to drive integration and continuous improvements to the programs’ process, policies and operations. The role requires the individual to be highly resourceful with a can-do attitude, appetite for learning and experience in data analysis, portfolio management, and continuous improvement; with the ability to lead, influence, and drive positive change.

This position is part of R&D’s Program Management Office (PMO). The Senior Analyst will work closely with PMO Managers to assist them to create, analyze, track standardized project metrics and to help drive processes as part of the PMO team. S/he would have excellent knowledge of Software Engineering Process and Agile / Kanban Methodology.

Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Is able to challenge and be challenged.

Supervision: Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

5. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List the key duties and responsibilities and essential functions of the role)

1. Assists R&D Managers to manage Software Development project activities on all project phases for multiple products in the company portfolio by providing timely data and reports.

2. Works collaboratively with cross functional stakeholders to create, analyse and track project metrics using various Project tools.

3. Assists to track and report various Program metrics and do timely escalations when required.

4. Provides ongoing project status reports by maintaining metrics and dashboards.

5. Ability to train stakeholders to roll out PMO practices and process.

6. Assists in other tasks as deemed necessary by his/her supervisor or Organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

o Experienced in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint)

o Advanced MS Excel Hands-on

o Strong written and verbal communication skills.

o Strong analytical and problem solving skills are a must.

o Good coordination skills are necessary.

o Experience in working with cross functional stakeholders.

o Knowledge of Agile development and/or Agile ways of working is a plus

o Exposure to MS Team Foundation Server, knowledge of SharePoint and SQL Scripting would be added advantage.

o Exposure to VBA/Macros is desired.
