The Loan Review Specialist will participate in the examination of the Bank’s commercial loan, commercial real estate, mortgage, and consumer portfolios under the supervision of a VP Loan Review or the SVP, Loan Review. This role will assist in maintaining the integrity of the Bank’s credit risk management functions by helping to ensure that acceptable credit standards are maintained and that loans conform to established Bank policy and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Skills/Requirements
Assists in conducting independent and objective reviews of loan underwriting practices, approvals, monitoring activities, and credit administration procedures.
Reviews borrower relationships to evaluate loan repayment ability; helps to validate the accuracy of the risk assessment and risk rating.
Evaluates the appropriateness of loan structures. Completes analysis of financial information to identify current or potential problems in credit quality and potential portfolio risk. Makes recommendations to the Examiner in Charge or Loan Review Manager for changes, if necessary.
Evaluates the accuracy of loan documentation for loans reviewed and the adequacy of the monitoring of borrowers and their loans. Recommends changes as needed.
Builds and maintains relationships with commercial loan officers.
Makes recommendations for loan process or policy changes to the Loan Review Manager.
Prepares work papers which detail findings and recommendations. Submits results and recommendations to the EIC.
Assists in periodically performing bank-wide portfolio analyses, identifying trends and/or concentrations in industry groups, loan products, and collateral.

Ability to communicate findings, observations, and recommendations clearly and concisely in both an oral and written manner.
Must be able to read & interpret financial statements and determine relevant credit risk.
Must be able to work effectively with personnel at all levels.
Ability to travel to other Enterprise Bank & Trust locations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Undergraduate and/or advanced degree in business administration, accounting, or finance preferred, or undergraduate degree with relevant experience.
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as, or in combination of, a loan review function, commercial loan officer, regulatory examiner, or credit analyst.
Familiarity with GAAP and FASB and relevant banking regulations
COMPUTER SKILLS
Skilled in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
