Job Description

Kiawah Partners seeks an ARB Director for our Architectural Review Board (ARB). This salaried, professional position is responsible for all aspects of ARB operations including, but not limited to:

  • Communicating with stakeholders regarding review process, project reviews, and property sales
  • Reviewing and responding to inquiries, correspondence and phone calls
  • Submittal review and field inspections of new home projects (50 or so a year)
  • Submittal review and field inspections of improvement projects (150 or so a year)
  • Leading ARB meetings (set-up, project presentations, correspondence, guideline updates)
  • Managing day to day workflow of ARB office
  • Conducting research and applying conflict resolution skills to bring about mutually beneficial solutions
  • Serving as a property owner advocate while also working to uphold developer standards and protect property values
  • Provide support to Director of Architecture and Development Team as needed




Skills/Requirements

Qualified candidates will have a degree in Architecture and at least 4-5 years of architectural experience. Staff Architect experience, especially project and team management experience is strongly preferred. A professional image and strong communication skills are essential. Previous experience working for or with a similar high-end developer planned community ARB is preferred, but not required. Some experience in mediation, negotiation or dispute resolution is a plus.
