Job Description

$14 DOE


Audits all revenue generated from mountain departments using the Sirius ticketing system.  These departments include Mountain School, Tickets, Activity Center, Snowcat Skiing.  Manages various miscellaneous receivable accounts for wholesalers, customers and managers of the resort.
Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1.    Uses the Sirius interface to post activity to the general ledger.
2.    Follows up on billings and collections on mountain receivable accounts and in-house accounts.
3.    Works with department cashiers to resolve problems and support stated accounting practices.
4.    Occasionally serve as backup for other revenue auditors.
5.    Occasional travel to/from resort.
6.    Audits credit card transactions and manages disputes and inquiries.
7.   Works with department managers who have balancing issues to resolve differences and produce a daily over/short report.
8.   Works with group sales department to account for and collect group and wholesale ticket sales.

Interactions
1.    Occasional contact with guests.
2.    Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management, and other departments.
3.    Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
1.     High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2.     College degree in related field preferred.  Additional related work experience may be substituted for education.
3.     2-4 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements:
1.     Must be at least 18 years of age.
2      No certifications needed for this position

Skills & Knowledge
Technical:    
Understanding of basic accounting principals including but not limited to debits and credits, accruals and account reconciliation. Ten-key and computer proficiency required.  Requires the operation of basic office equipment;  telephone, FAX machine, etc.   Must be detail oriented and be able to focus for extended periods of time on daily work.  Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Office.  Must be able to work with others to resolve problems and be able to see problems from others perspective.
Must have the ability to handle, process, maintain and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements. This includes privacy and confidentiality, reporting, storage and disposal of sensitive information.  Will not share or disclose any guest personal or financial information to anyone unless authorized by the guest, manager or company or unless disclosure is permitted within departmental policies and procedures.

Administrative:    
This position requires knowledge and understanding of PCI DSS, including the safe and secure handling and maintenance of personal, financial and credit card information of guests/customers.
Requires some exercise of judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.  Has significant input into decisions made by others.  May select solutions from a number of established courses of action.   Decides how to log account information based on workload and priority.

Work Schedule:
1.  Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm.  Additional time may be required during the winter season.  
Mental:
1.  May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines and work with the public.
Physical:
1.  Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
2.  General office environment with limited physical activity.
3.  Work is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings.  General office conditions prevail.
