Job Description

Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia, seeks a Director of Institutional Effectiveness. The Institutional Effectiveness Director is responsible to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for planning, organizing, and directing the college’s accreditation and strategic planning processes and related reviews. The Institutional Effectiveness Director is also responsible for the coordination and oversight of evaluation and planning processes that support mission fulfillment and quality assurance.  In addition, the Institutional Effectiveness Director is responsible for research and evaluation that support college planning, policy formation, and decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in education, business management, or a closely related field.
  • Three (3) years of work experience in postsecondary education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in education, business management, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with the preparation and timely submission of grant applications, application amendments, and budget transfers and evaluation of the fiscal administration of grant programs.
  • Experience directing and maintaining accredited status for a college and its programs.
  • Experience coordinating and overseeing the strategic planning process for a college.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data for the purposes of college-wide assessment and continuous improvement of academic programs and services.
  • Experience preparing and submitting Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) data.
  • Experience in a postsecondary environment, specifically, two year or technical colleges.
  • Skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs such as Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Class Climate, Economic Modeling Specialists, Inc. (EMSI).
