Job Description

St. John's Episcopal Hospital is recruiting for a Training Specialist. He/She  will develop a strong knowledge of the business needs of the company in order to proactively provide support for ODL learning initiatives. The training specialist role will include two broad areas of responsibility; LMS administrator and ODL Coordinator.The Training specialist will serve as the organizations Learning Management System Administrator, and will have the skills and competency to create and maintain classes, courses, curricula, user groups, new accounts, assign role based training curriculums, run and maintain compliance and exception reporting and troubleshoot issues. The Training Specialist will support the development and implementation of strategies to prepare the organization for LMS optimization and adoption, improving the learning experience for all team members.

The training specialist will also serve as the Organizational Development and Learning coordinator responsible for organizing and coordinating training events and related logistics, along with administrative duties that support the ODL departments strategies and initiatives.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in designing, updating and implementing policies and procedures for the LMS.
  • Manages role based training plans and assignments.
  • Monitor and maintain the ODL mailbox on a daily basis to provide LMS support, inquires, course assignment etc.
  • Experience developing dynamic instructional training materials using interactions and simulations to create interactive, engaging course content.
  • Assist the team with continuous improvement of training processes, systems, tools and resources. 
  • Coordinate train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts.
  • Provides assistance to the team’s efforts to complete departmental assignments

Skills/Requirements

Bachleors Degree

  •       Advanced Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  •       Technologically savvy with the ability to master new applications and related systems and apply        knowledge to team member learning and education
  •       Demonstrated project management skills
  •       Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  •       Possess excellent proofreading and editing skills
  •       Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  •       Ability to research and analyze issues and develop solutions
  •       Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

 

Preferred qualification

  •   Experience developing dynamic instructional training materials using interactions and simulations to create interactive, engaging course content.
  •   Experience developing interactive media presentations that enhance the online educational experience
