Job Description

Kiawah Island Real Estate is seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team! This role supports both sales and marketing teams and reports to the Director of Marketing. The primary goal for this position is to grow experiential programming and engagement with high-end buyers, execute events that elevate the Kiawah brand (on and off Island), and manage and spearhead outreach for the downtown office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Experiential Marketing

- Develop and grow the Experience Kiawah program in an effort to increase sales and immerse clients in the Kiawah lifestyle – Work with VIP prospects, writers, and partner clients to coordinate, plan, and facilitate Island visits. This includes communicating with Sales team and prospects, planning itinerary, making reservations, tee times, etc.

Events

- Planning and executing large and small on-Island events, including but not limited to:

o Fall – SEWE (300-400), Party in the Park (3500)

o Spring - Tour of Homes (300)

o Additional events: Open House events, New amenity grand openings, media days, ambassador events, Partnership events, various smaller scale home tours

- Plan and execute remote events in key feeder markets, including DC, NYC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas.

- Manage and execute Artist in Residence Program – continue to grow the program and update the art gallery

- Work with marketing team to determine collateral needs, communications schedule, work with digital team on social media as it relates to each event

- Interface with third party partners when organizing events

Downtown Sales Office Management

- Manage and spearhead outreach for downtown office

- Develop strategic partnerships with luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, retailers, tourism board, and the CRDA with the goal of gaining qualified referrals for Kiawah Island Real Estate

- Forge relationships with other downtown real estate sales offices and market the Company referral program to them. This could include cocktail parties, lunches, or other events.

- Respond to all sales inquiries while on duty at the office and coordinate Island visits for those interested with a Sales Executive

- Maintain coverage schedule (work with sales agents to be sure that office is open and covered Monday-Saturday). This may require that you cover some Saturdays.

- Provide administrative support to Sales Executives as it relates to downtown office (ensuring office is properly maintained from the aesthetic to the marketing collateral)

Legends Magazine

Work with editor and ad sales rep to grow new national ad program and help grow distribution within downtown hotel market and on a national level (airports, FBO, etc.)

Assist Director of Marketing in other duties and responsibilities for KIRE and other lines of business as necessary





Skills/Requirements

To be considered for this position, qualified candidates will possess the following:

• 2-4 years of previous related experience

• A bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field. 

• Superior strategic planning, critical thinking, and writing skills.

• Ability to take initiative and identify marketing opportunities.

• Strong communications skills and comfortable working with a 30-person team of sales and marketing professionals.

• Innovative in collaboration and problem solving with other departments and at all management levels.

• Ability and willingness to work under pressure, meet strict timelines and budgets, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent customer service skills, comfortable managing sensitive and confidential customer communications.
